A. Re:coil is a curl cream that adds separation and hold without stiffness or stickiness. It's perfect for achieving soft, defined curls for a broad range of curl types. It’s rich in the Curl Creating Complex, which helps to nourish and define your curls while keeping them soft.

If you air dry with Re:coil, your hair will likely be left with a slight cast that you can shake out. By diffusing, results will be more soft, bouncy, curls. Curl Fresh Definer activates your curls, adds definition, and leaves hair feeling smooth, nourished and shiny. A community favourite, it has been described by many as their one-and-done and can be applied to both damp and dry hair, as well as used again to refresh throughout the day.

Air dry or diffuse based on your preference. Curl Fresh Definer tends not to leave a cast but may have more hold/retention if left to air dry. Curl Fresh Definer is recommended for fine-medium hair textures.

Q. Will Re:coil weigh down my wavy hair?
A. Re:coil is recommended for most hair types. A little goes a long way! For finer waves, we might suggest taking a look at Curl Fresh Definer.

Q. What happened to the Liquid Effects Extra-Firm Lotion?
A. We updated the product's label to better align with the user experience and feedback we’ve received from our valued customers. The new name, "Medium-Hold Weightless Styling Gel," reflects the product’s lightweight gel consistency, which differs from the previous label description as "Liquid Effects Extra Firm lotion". This change aims to provide clearer expectations for our customers regarding the product's performance. The formula, despite discrepancies in the labels that are working through the marketplace, has not changed.

Q. What makes AG formulas unique? 
A. AG formulas are free of drying sulfates, are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. All our formulas meet or exceed leading “clean” ingredient programs. Great product, cleaner and kinder formulas.

Q: Should refill pouches be shaken before use?
A: We recommend shaking the pouch before refilling as its natural ingredients can occasionally cause separation.

Q: How many bottles can the 1L refill pouch fill?
A: Our refill pouches will fill our aluminum 12oz bottle 2.8 times, our 10oz shampoos 3.2 times and our 8oz conditioners 4.1 times!

Q: What is the shelf life of the 1L refill pouch after it’s been open?
A: 12 months.

Q: How do I extend the life of my bottles to reuse as long as possible?
A: Our bottles can easily be rinsed, dried and used multiple times!

Q: Are refill pouches recyclable?
A: AG pouches are not currently recyclable due to an inner layer required to protect the stability of AG formulas. However, the caps are recyclable and our pouches use 73% less plastic and take 62% less energy to produce than our previous litre bottles leaving a smaller footprint and generating fewer CO2 emissions.

Light scent, gret curl even in humidity

"This product is fairly thick when it comes out, but spreads out well when you put it in your hair. It has a very light scent that reminds me of red twizzlers - not overwhelming or overpowering at all. This also isn’t greasy feeling. I have very fine curly hair and the humidity where i live makes my hair do its own thing most days. This product consistently worked in keeping my curls defined even with the humidity where I am. In my post you can see my before kind of all over curls, then how defined and together they stayed after running the product through. I got this to try for my honest opinion from Influenster, would be worth buying for sure. 9/10"

Leave-On Conditioner

"I received this AG Care Fast Food Leave-On Conditioner to try in exchange for my honest review. I have curly hair that is sometimes difficult to tame and is often lacking frizz control and hydration. This product has certainly helped with that. It smells great and makes my hair feel smooth. I did find it somewhat difficult to get the product out of the squeeze bottle. I also found that a little product goes a long way! I have been putting a little bit in my wet hair and styling as usual. Overall, great product!"

"This is a true leave in the hair, after shampooing, conditioner. I have very curly hair and by leaving this product on my hair, combing it thru, it detangles my hair, defines my curls and give them bounce. Never makes my hair feel dry or crunchy, just soft and VERy touchable. Highly recommended by me."

Good but not amazing

"I like that it doesn't have an overwhelming smell to it. I do find that after use my hair is softer. You only need a little bit or else your hair ends up greasy. For the price point I'm impressed, however by the second day I definitely need dry shampoo where other products have given me 2 to 3 days. I would probably buy again but I do feel other products have given me better results."

Amazing for Thin Hair

"I think this has to be one of the best leading conditioners I’ve ever used in my hair. I have extremely thin, fine hair and basically any product could weigh my hair down and cause it to be greasy. This has done the opposite this conditioner has nourished my hair, making it feel moisturized without the grease you feel and without my hair separating the value in this product is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone with any her type just because of how penetrating it is in the hair."

"I think AG is officially my holy grail! Fast food for slip and detangling, prevents the hair at the base of my neck from getting stuck in the upside down position, if that makes any sense! Allows for movement and repositioning as I style. Pair with re coil and the gel mousse and I get my best curl results ever!"

Very moisturizing but a little heavy for my fine hair

"I received this product in exchange for my honest review. It is a very nice product, it’s moisturizing, hydrating and it makes my bleached hair feel much healthier. The only downfall of this product for me personally is that while my hair is naturally wavy and course it’s also very fine so I found this leave in a little bit heavy for days that I have my hair straightened. When my hair is styled natural, it works much better for me."
