A. Yes. It contains both pea peptides and our Rice Complex for moisturized and defined curls.

Q. What is the difference between Re:coil and Definer?
A. Re:coil is a curl cream that adds separation and hold without stiffness or stickiness. It's perfect for achieving soft, defined curls for a broad range of curl types. It’s rich in the Curl Creating Complex, which helps to nourish and define your curls while keeping them soft.

If you air dry with Re:coil, your hair will likely be left with a slight cast that you can shake out. By diffusing, results will be more soft, bouncy, curls. Curl Fresh Definer activates your curls, adds definition, and leaves hair feeling smooth, nourished and shiny. A community favourite, it has been described by many as their one-and-done and can be applied to both damp and dry hair, as well as used again to refresh throughout the day.

Air dry or diffuse based on your preference. Curl Fresh Definer tends not to leave a cast but may have more hold/retention if left to air dry. Curl Fresh Definer is recommended for fine-medium hair textures.

Q. What happened to the Liquid Effects Extra-Firm Lotion?
A. We updated the product's label to better align with the user experience and feedback we’ve received from our valued customers. The new name, "Medium-Hold Weightless Styling Gel," reflects the product’s lightweight gel consistency, which differs from the previous label description as "Liquid Effects Extra Firm lotion". This change aims to provide clearer expectations for our customers regarding the product's performance. The formula, despite discrepancies in the labels that are working through the marketplace, has not changed.

Q: Should refill pouches be shaken before use?
A: We recommend shaking the pouch before refilling as its natural ingredients can occasionally cause separation.

Q: How many bottles can the 1L refill pouch fill?
A: Our refill pouches will fill our aluminum 12oz bottle 2.8 times, our 10oz shampoos 3.2 times and our 10oz conditioners 4.1 times!

Q: What is the shelf life of the 1L refill pouch after it’s been open?
A: 12 months.

Q: How do I extend the life of my bottles to reuse as long as possible?
A: Our bottles can easily be rinsed, dried and used multiple times!

Q: Are refill pouches recyclable?
A: AG pouches are not currently recyclable due to an inner layer required to protect the stability of AG formulas. However, the caps are recyclable and our pouches use 73% less plastic and take 62% less energy to produce than our previous litre bottles leaving a smaller footprint and generating fewer CO2 emissions.
